About Us

Church of Overcomers that Rises against the World
Welcome to Washington Bethany Church

Washington Bethany Church is a church that raises overcomers—those whom the world cannot withstand—as the holy bride of our Lord Jesus Christ in this generation.

It is not merely a place for comfort or fellowship, but a community overflowing with holiness and purity—where believers are genuinely transformed by the Word and deeply love God.

Until the day our Lord returns, we are committed to preserving a true, biblical faith and becoming a church that shines His light in the world.

That is Washington Bethany Church.

We pray and intercede for the DC region, for the USA, and for the nations—longing for a movement of repentance in this generation and for the unity of the churches purchased by Christ’s precious blood.

We are also a church that boldly proclaims the gospel of Jesus Christ and evangelizes throughout the Washington area and to the ends of the earth.

Greetings
"Jesus said, ‘It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. Go and learn what this means: “I desire mercy, not sacrifice.” For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.’” (Matthew 9:12–13)

Welcome to Washington Bethany Church!

Bethany was once a land of leprosy—a place of curse. Although God’s chosen people were born to inherit His blessings, even the freedom to offer rightful worship was taken from them. It was a place of sorrow, despair, and abandonment.

Yet the Son of God, Jesus Christ, chose Bethany as His resting place. He embraced those whose bones were broken and souls wounded. He befriended the outcasts, healed the afflicted, and spoke words of life: “Simply dwell in Me.”
Now, Bethany is no longer a land of curse. It is a place of encounter with the Lord, a sanctuary of rest, overflowing with true joy, resurrection life, and the fruits of His love.

We remain at Bethany not because we are strong, but because we recognize our own brokenness. We seek to dwell in the arms of the Lord because He alone can heal our wounds.

What are you truly seeking—wealth, honor, or fleeting possessions that turn to dust? Come to Bethany, not for temporary gain, but for the eternal rest and encounter with the Lord.

Even when the Red Sea blocks the way, Moses parted the waters with a raised staff. Even when the Israelites complained in the wilderness, the journey continued. Though the Ark is heavy upon our shoulders and the Jordan River threatens to overwhelm us, our steps will never stop, for we follow the Lord faithfully.

Bethany is a church like a hidden root—working silently beneath the surface, enduring trials, bearing life-giving sustenance for the branches above, and bringing glory to all the churches who love the Lord in this generation.

Even if we are lepers, we long to embrace this life of humility because we have tasted the love of Christ in Bethany. Even if the world rejects us, we have no fear, for His love sustains us.

Beloved, whatever you are seeking, whatever your heart desires, come to Bethany.
